Creating Cultures of Care

Because how people feel at work shapes everything.

What if this was how we measured success?

I'm Claire McKie - a doctor, facilitator, and advocate for more human workplaces - with a passion for bringing emotions into the way we work.

Over the years, working in complex and high-pressure environments, I’ve learned that, how people feel at work matters.

It shapes how we think, communicate, connect, lead, and care - for ourselves, our teams, and the people we serve. And yet it’s so often overlooked.

How people feel drives behaviour, shapes culture, and should be one of the ways we measure success.

I work with individuals, teams, and organisations to explore how we need to feel (and not feel) to thrive at work. We start by connecting with ourselves - understanding our own emotional drivers - so that we can show up more intentionally and connect more meaningfully with others.

My approach blends thinking and feeling - science and story - and is grounded in both clinical experience and evidence-based tools like the Emotional Culture Deck. I’ve run workshops, facilitated leadership programs, and spoken at conferences across Australia - always with one goal in mind: helping people create cultures where humans (and performance) can flourish.

Culture change doesn’t start with a strategy.  It starts with how people feel.

If you're ready to explore how you and your team need to feel to thrive — let's connect.
